Getting ready for our Christmas Mother and Daughter Tea Party!

YES this is Jasmine's 1st Christmas Tea Party!! Thank you to my BFF Tina who shared with me the idea we are getting ready!! Oh how I dreamed of this day and it is finally here!!!


She made name tags for all her guest! She is just enjoying all the time we are putting into this Party!!

Today was a crazy day for me but one thing I am learning is to have fun regardless of what comes your way!

Things that I did today.....talked to a great friend about fitness this morning , listen to a coach call about fitness at 11:45 FYM club, taught Justin and Jasmine, revised our kids schedules ( needed to change chores up some) :-) , read up on food storage and did our crafts for our tea party!

Oh sister did come over for hair cuts also! Today was busy day my energy level was low so it was hard to push threw my day but it was all done and I am ready to get to my weekly call with my BFF Tina

I am back !! It has been too long!

God has been moving my heart about sharing my walk with others. So here I am again trying to start up my blog.
I will start with a little about me:
I love to read, write and share with other moms about my life and daily walk.
I am very organized and it is by nature! Things have to be in order to think!
I love a neat clean space at all times but having 4 kids, a dog and living in the country it is so hard to have but I try my best.
I workout daily and eat clean which means REAL foods I will share some of this also....
I love to learn on how to be a better Christian so I am always reading spiritual books, doing bible studies and in a good deep devotional.
I love people and relationships are very special to me.
I am blessed to be a Wife to a Godly man and mother to 4 Godly kids.
Saying all this I am NOT perfect...... far from it!! I am learning each day how to Focus on God and be more relaxed and fun!

In that note: I am still trying to figure out how the layout of this blog will be but for sure I will do a weekly report and then daily update.....i am excited about doing this. I am borrowing a layout I read on someones blog that I really enjoy reading...

Outside my window.... trees with golden yellow leaves and wind blowing the leaves all over the front yard....cold and gloomy

I am thankful for....being able to stay home with my kids and homeschool them

I am remembering....how when I was a kid I loved the fall and to play with the leaves

I am going ...to have a hot cup of green tea

I am ready ....to take a brake from school and do some reading

I am hoping.....to get lots of done today before dinner time

On my mind...how I love Christmas music and the calmness of a quiet home

I am wearing...PJ's and it is 2:36 pm can you believe it!

I am reading...many books...Your Girl,Your Boy,A Women and Her God and just finished Simple Christmas...

I am hearing....Christmas music in the background,kids coloring and writing.

Noticing that.......I need to hurry up and get changed for my sister is coming over for dinner so that we can get our Christmas house lights on the house.

Pondering these words....None right know

From the learning room.......we read the Three Trees and Jasmine is learning how to read, Justin is learning Contractions, Jonathan not sure LOL!!, Angel is writing a couple of papers.

From the Kitchen.......making a Spanish dish tonight Plantanos con Carne ( Green banana with ground meat and red sauce) yummy!

Plan for the week......tonight we are all watching The Biggest Loser Finale, mid week church,jewelry party, taking Jasmine to a birthday party and Our Mother and Daughter Christmas tea party!

A Scripture thought .....Gal 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time you will reap if we do not grow weary.

I found this great blog and I wanted to join the fun! I love to mediate on questions that would help me improve my spiritual walk and give others ideas!

• What are some practical ways you maintain a consistent “in the Word” time? Well, I do it first thing in the morning and what I mean first thing is by getting out of bed and I jump into my comfy chair right by my bed where I have all my books and a table with lamp and I have my time with God with a BIG cup of coffee.
  
• Do you have a certain morning system that accompanies your quiet time?
  
• I first journal my thoughts in my prayer journal and start by talking to God about my thoughts and heart desires or sorrows, then I jump to the internet and go to the Internet Cafe Devotions which I have been so blessed by each day. Then I go to my search the scripture in 3 years devotional where I read a chapter or chapter of the bible and answer some questions to mediate on what I read. Then I journal again in my prayer journal about what the Lord spoke to me and pray for all the people on my list for the day.
  
• In what ways have you been applying what you are learning in your devotional time into your day? I do apply it because I make sure I meditate on what I have read and see how I need to apply it for the day so when I live my life God brings those to memory.
  
• If you are working on memorizing Scripture, can you offer a few tips that help you for our other Kettle Members? I am not memorizing the word right now but I think this is something I really need to commit to.
  
• Share a standout lesson you’ve learned this month and why it has made such an impact on you. I am reading about Joseph and how God used what his brother meant for evil for good and how God has a purpose for all of us even if we at the time don't see it. Our family is going threw some hard time of decisions and because of this passage I am reminded that all is good and even if it is painful and hard on us God is going to use it for good!

Home schooling ** Calling for prayer and ideas**

The only time I have a HUGE urge to blog is when my home schooling is getting to me....

So am I the only one that every other months doubts herself with questions like:

Are they learning?
Is this worth it ?
Am I just too paranoid?
Is this my calling?
Am I selfish?

I realized that many things effect the way I think about schooling and they are:

Well how can I put this nicely ??? TOM!!!!!!
How crazy my month has been and what is going on in our family life?
When was the last time I had time for myself??? ALONE!!!

So knowing this I have decided that I am not allowed to make any decisions until I have rested prayed and take some much needed time away from the kids!!

Then I will start my search for many answers!!

Here are some and if you are able to help please do!!!

How do I know my kids are learning?
How do I divide my time in 4??
How do I start teaching my 4 year old that wants to learn today?
How do I balance my time and life?
What is the best way to teach my kids?

I need to plan and think about our next year !

I need lots of ideas for my 4 year old and my 7 th year old
